Raphael, a native of Brazil, embarked on his journey to the United States in 2012, driven by his passion for film composition and a desire to advance his career.
With a background as a session musician and record producer in Brazil, Raphael quickly found opportunities in the industry. He secured the role of lead composer at Global Virtual Studios, the first film studio located on Hawaii's big island. Over a span of seven years, he composed scores for a diverse range of projects, including feature films, documentaries, commercials, and video games.
In 2019, seeking new horizons, Raphael relocated to Los Angeles to further expand his career and artistic pursuits.
Raphael's talent and dedication bore fruit with the international recognition of his first feature film, "Finding Josef." Since then, he has continued to craft compelling scores for a wide variety of films, such as "Lost Kites," "Time Well Spent," and "Sequela." In addition, his compositional prowess has extended to television, where he has contributed to shows such as "Rachael Ray," "Dr. Phil," and "ET."
Drawing upon his rich background in world music and jazz, Raphael seamlessly blends orchestral elements and sound design, resulting in a unique tapestry of colors and sounds that define his musical style.
