Kyle Rodriguez is a Latino film composer, producer, and songwriter based in Los Angeles. Combining orchestral textures with modern production techniques and unique analog instrumentation, his music explores innovative soundscapes through a collection of distinctive instruments, toys, and tape machines. Kyle's scores have been featured on platforms including AppleTV+, Netflix, Hulu, Nickelodeon, Adult Swim, and at prestigious film festivals around the globe.
Kyle began his career in 2017, assisting acclaimed composer Nathan Barr at Bandrika Studios. There, he contributed to renowned series like FX's "The Americans," Hulu's "The Great," and Amazon's "Carnival Row." In 2021, Kyle left Bandrika to forge his independent career.
In 2022, Kyle's original music was showcased at the Sundance Film Festival with "Work," directed by AFI Directing Fellow April Maxey. The film was featured on Indiewire's "10 Must-See Shorts at Sundance 2022" and continued its festival success at Tribeca, Outfest, and beyond.
Most recently, Kyle scored the AppleTV+ natural history series “The Secret Lives of Animals,” Apple’s most recent collaboration with the BBC Natural History Unit. Other recent work include the Emmy nominated AppleTV+ live-action/CGI adventure series “Jane”. Inspired by the life and work of Dr. Jane Goodall, its highly anticipated third season premieres on April 18, 2025. He also scored the award winning Paramount+ series "The Family Stallone”, a docu-series featuring Sylvester Stallone and his family.
Currently, Kyle is scoring "Big Break," the debut feature film from acclaimed comedy collective Simple Town, which was included in Variety's "Top 50 Most Anticipated Films of 2025".
Kyle remains deeply committed to fostering inclusivity within the film music community, striving to create pathways and opportunities for emerging composers from diverse backgrounds.
